| Pretty good scmooz. I think it goes a step further. I think he is talking about an old flame from somewhere he used to live. The relationship was obviously toxic. He knew he shouldn't go back and rekindle the relationship but he indulged anyway. He knew it wasn't good for him but once he had a little he, like a jackal, had as much as he could stand.
