I think this song has absolutely nothing to do with being religious, I think it's not a religious song in the slightest, and I see it as a huge middle finger to Christianity if anything. "I was born sick; command me to be well" is actually a quote from an atheist author. This song is full of metaphor that plays beautifully off of religion. The only God being worshipped in this song is the speaker's lover, and the only religion in this song is love. |
