It's clear that this is pretty disjointed, and not an entire song put through the translator. It seems probable that several parts of the song were put through the translator several times until they found a clip of text they enjoyed, and parts of the original song may have been used multiple times. I agree that Subterranean Homesick Blues looks like the likely culprit, so I went through and matched possible lyric correspondences. Can anyone help fill the blanks? The hold-out boy and the weather girl - ? Know the wind blows in a patient way - To know which way the wind blows Like a two-decade day - Twenty years of schoolin' (And they put you on the day shift) The man in the mouth of a drain - ? Laughing and chewing erasers - You better chew gum Like a black dog in the snow - Face full of black soot (?) Write in relief and sleep again - Get back, write Braille (?) and you cant believe your eyes - ? and you cant find your pen - In the big pen ("Lookin' for a new friend" occurs two lines up. Perhaps this is where the eventual "find" comes from?) and the man in the hole - Better jump down a manhole (?) is your new friend's friend - |
