I honestly think it is about the Salem witch trials. Many women were accused of witchcraft tried to deny it (futile), Like trying to spit at the Sun. They were being burned and hung not by strangers, but the townsfolk. The people they see everyday. The 'witches' know these people. " You know you burned, at the hands of your kin" They tried so hard to get away, "She crawled through the dirt like a four legged spider" A few acknowledge the fact that they are killing a person, not just a 'witch' Finally, the women realized that if they confessed, they wouldn't be hung. "She falls to her knees, as she begs for forgiveness" The young girls were so fragile at that point, as if their very souls were made of porcelain. Then the church freaks killed them. Thousands of them. Women and children. Magic isn't real. They killed them for nothing... |
