I can definitely see this being about Oli's drug addiction. For example, "Won't you drag the lake and bring me home again," This part could be saying how he's reached rock bottom and he wants it to end and go back to the comfort of home, before drugs. "What doesn't kill you, makes you wish you were dead" "What doesn't destroy you, leaves you broken instead" These two lines are easily explained with how a person could hate their life so much that they wish the escape into drugs would just be the end, but it doesn't kill you, it just leaves you wishing you were dead because after the high, everything seems worse. It doesn't destroy you, it just leaves you heavily broken with addition. |

The woman was porn star white and the pastel-red I assumed was about her lips. Women that are super white with the red lipstick are usually viewed as a seductress, which I see with this song. | |
