I think it is about growing up and thinking of your parents' love in hard times. The first verse of the song is like someone is feeling a bit tired (of her life?), and in doubt of herself. Then, she asked herself "Am I too far from home?Am I really all alone?" Starting from the second verse to "find out what matters" in the third verse is that she remembers what her parents had taught her. It makes her feel emotional after thinking of it. The part ,"I know your heart's been broken", is a bridge to make the last part stands out, which is the emotional outburst. And, the last part is that her thoughts on her parents are more intense as if her parents are there "Your mama's, your papa's here". |
