This song begins with a loose but correct version of the Israeli national anthem (the Hatikvah) but half way switchers to the Palestinian anthem (the Fida'i - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fida%27i). The translation is rather good in that it conveys the meaning and tone very well. The political statement (like all songs on the Volk album) should be obvious. |
