@[Italian:1061] Phaethon Yes exactly, many Queen songs have a message of the battle between good and evil, and this song shows the audacity of evil to claim he (Great King Rat) will win....evil ALWAYS LIES, so the opposite is true. |

@[spicyflo:1059] OOOOPS you have made a tiny little error that deflates your whole argument....yes, I agree with you the Bible is written by men, and one more critical aspect to consider. "But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God." Read the book 2Peter to discover this verse in context. The whole of the Bible is either from God or it isn't. Read it for yourself and then decide. |

@[Jimvin:1058] Absolutely agree with you there....as one who was seduced and then set free through Jesus this song has a very serious message within it....a warning to all!!!! |

@[Queenforever13:1057] I agree, very prophetic and epic song- like the battle between good and evil which is hinted at in a few of their songs...like Bohemian Rhapsody and Liar. So I think for Freddie to have ended his life recording a song like "My Life Has Been Saved" is very interesting indeed. Lyrics are "Oh Lord, I thank the Lord above, My life has been saved." Saved from the influence of those like Great King Rat? Surrendering to the Lord to be saved? So interesting!!!!!! |

@[songsmith:1056] Really? That doesn't seem to fit within the verse....it is describing a scene of a crowd of people flocking to Jesus...beggars shouting, lepers calling and and old man who just watched what was going on....Jesus healed many.....that was partly His mission on Earth. |

@[Mynor:1055] I think the going down is either people in biblical times gathering to hear/see Jesus as He taught the crowds, or in modern day people going to churches to hear the biblical accounts of Jesus....either way Jesus draws people to Himself to be healed/saved. |

@[thenanor:1054] And the wise men were following a star to worship the King of the Jews "the leader of man" -to lead people back to God. So these wise men acknowledged Jesus as God, as only God is worthy of worship. As I understand it Zoroastrian teaching is centred on a Saviour that is to come...and the wise men acknowledge Jesus as that Saviour....time to read the New Testament accounts and see for yourself why Jesus has so many labels- King, Lord, Saviour, Son of Man, Son of God etc He is someone UNIQUE!!!!! |

@[Davidc316:1053] Very good analysis. Although I have a different view to add to your last paragraph. If I had a cure for cancer and people flocked to me for it would they be foolish or wise? Jesus made claims to be THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE, the ONLY WAY back to GOD. So all those who flock to follow Jesus, are they foolish or wise? This is a very surprising song to find on a Queen album, yet it is totally biblical, a reflection of Freddie's education in India I would say. So read the New Testament accounts of Jesus life on Earth and make up your own mind who Jesus is. |
