@[xThousan:620] I like your interpretation and I also like the "love song" interpretation. Some people associate "songs about drugs" with being a brain-dead loser. They don't see the mystical depths of spiritual experience which can be very meaningful, which can often only be expressed through art. MGMT definitely does that. That being said, they're truly awesome musicians, composers, and songwriters who (like David Lynch) are good at creating beautiful puzzles. If their lyrics are open to interpretation, and hit your mind and heart in diverse and effective ways, that might be exactly what they want. |
