| I don't think his necessarily has anything to do with sex. Ever since I've heard it, I assumed that "Cover This" was about an artistic, creative, diverse, improvised jam that can't be covered by some other band. It all seems purely musical, unless you're simply hellbent on insisting that it has to be about sex, then it's anything you want it to be. It seems far more tastefully to be a challenge to other musicians to produce music this dynamic and original, while not needing a self-esteem boost by other people covering them. I can't say I have an interpretation for every line, and I'm not really bothered by that at all; I just think they're saying we haven't missed anything, and we don't need you to, but could you even cover this? Either way, it's genius... To all of you "get in the bed people" how about the lyric is get in the van, not the bed, duh! Pusher man, get in the van. It could be about drugs or even kidnapping, or it could be about a tour van. Either way, as much as I respect your right to an opinion, it isn't about a bed at all. | |
