I think this song is about parenting a child especially from a mother's perspective " I live between concrete walls, when I took her up she was so warm" She lives between concrete walls because when trying to care for a child it can often feel like you are on your own especially if youre a new mother, the baby is obviously the warm thing she picks up "eyes open the mouth cries, haven't slept since summer The baby wont go to sleep and keeps crying, she hasn't slept since summer is an exaggeration cause thats what it feels like because she cant get her baby to fall asleep "Oh how I try I keep the tv on and the radio" She's desperately trying to get her baby to sleep even leaving the tv and radio on which are methods known to soothe babies and help them sleep |
