This song is about the 1969 Manson murders of 26-yr-old actress Sharon Tate and five of her friends in Los Angeles (City of the angels.) Sharon Tate was married to filmmaker Roman Polanski. She was 8 1/2 months pregnant (the baby of Polanski) when the evil drugged-up members of Charles Manson's (In summer of 69, there came a prophet) cult stabbed her and her unborn son sixteen times (They bring the night of long knives.) Her and another woman were tied together by a rope around their necks. The word "PIG" was written on the wall (paint the walls) using Tate's blood. Of course, the murderers were all caught, but they claimed they only committed the heinous crime because they were brainwashed by Charles Manson (rapist of mind) who was arrested soon after. Charles Manson knew all of American was tuned into the trial, so he put on this act that he was the devil himself and everyone in the country was scared to death of him. In reality, he was just a puny, evil coward who convinced his friends to kill for him. The line in the song that reads "Rosemary and the baby of Polanski" refers to the blockbuster movie "Rosemary's Baby" which was written by Polanski. |

@[FullArmor:540] - I think they are believers. Since their first album, they have had quite a few songs with passages from the bible, and in several songs Rob seems to be pleading with God. |
