Even though I am credited for submitting the above lyrics, they are wrong. Those are not the lyrics I submitted. I took the time to transcribe the correct lyrics directly from the albums liner notes, but apparently whoever approved it decided to ignore my submission and instead copy/pasted whatever incorrect shit they found posted to the LyricFind website. (They did the same for several other Japanese Breakfast songs I submitted as well). I tried editing them, didn't work. I tried to contact a moderator 3 times (2 emails, 1 forum post) to see if they could straighten it out, but never heard back. At any rate, here are the correct lyrics to the song. (transcribed directly from the records liner notes) I don't know how it happened Was it always this way, and I just couldn't see it? Not sure why only part of my comment posted, but here is the rest of it. The lyric, "The sheik he drove his Cadillac, he went a-cruisin' down the ville" is wrong. "The sheik he drove his Cadillac, he went a-cruisin' the De Ville" is the correct lyric. Back in the day Cadillac had a model called the De Ville, and that is what is being referenced. |
