I think it's an environmental song. Destruction, beautifying the foothills, searching for the next place to build--Greenland, Mexico. When you're finished with the mop then you can stop And look at what you've done (self-explanatory) The plateau's clean no dirt to be seen (got rid of pesky nature) And the work it took was fun (everything is awesome) There's nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop And an illustrated book about birds (all that's left of the birds) You see a lot up there but don't be scared (don't be upset) Who needs actions when you got words (it's all over, just words can describe what's happened) Well the many hands began to scan around for the next plateau (next place to develop) |
