Atlas Sound – Parallax Lyrics 10 years ago
I think the last line is "Never ask for help".

Although the anal sex thing does seem reasonable considering the "muscle loosens" line, I think the song is about an abusive relationship.

The speaker is the victim in an abusive relationship, and tells themselves that no matter what their partner does to them, the partner probably feels the same pain. It's a rationalization to stay in that relationship.

The abuser gives the speaker love, and thus the speaker chooses to stay and "never ask for help". But the love they are given is also accompanied by pain.

For some reason I feel like the speaker is trapped in some sort of afterlife. It's a dismal, empty, warped reflection of life. Some of the lyrics tell a coherent story or create a picture, but others are just fragments of thoughts. It also feels like the description of a dream in some respects.

Noah has done something really phenomenal here. Pas de Deux is one of my favorite classical pieces, and his sample of it here does it no disservice. He takes it and makes it something equally touching and adds a heartbreaking spin to it. Seriously amazing.

I think the "for a year I was queer" line refers to how Bradford Cox has claimed to be asexual, before stating that he is actually gay. He said that he was afraid of rejection, and after a while with that fear you just convince yourself that you're actually asexual. I think that ties into the "not alone anymore" line. Otherwise, not too sure of the meaning.

Great way to finish off an eclectic album.
