I like to think this song as being about overcoming something in general, like depression. The general theme of the song, as many of the comments suggest, is struggling to get over drug addiction. I like to think about it this way: Someone is struggling to want to live anymore. They can't find their reason to go on and they do want to die. But they're trying, and they need help to do so, hence the "Catch me, heal me, lift me back up to the sun, I choose to live". The person is admitting he needs help, and support, because he's choosing to live. It's about him deciding this on his own. Least, that's my two cents on it. |
