The Fratellis – Everybody Knows You Cried Last Night Lyrics 10 years ago
Personally, I feel this is a bit of a rebuttal to all the groupie girls "waiting in the queue" for their turn with the lads after the show and they're mocking how tragically pathetic they all are, gaining perverse amusement out of mocking them in song, knowing full well that after the show the show there will still be a line of skank ass chippies waiting for their chance and fruitlessly fantasizing about being one of their wives or girlfriends.

The Fratellis – Doginabag Lyrics 10 years ago
Musically, this song is almost like a pastiche of Three Dog Night's "Mama Told Me Not to Come" (google it if you're too wet behind the ears). Lyrically though, it reminds me of some of the harder numbers on the Beatle's White Album. Catchy little ditty.

Rush – A Passage To Bangkok Lyrics 11 years ago
This song is awash in drug references, subtle and not so subtle. Several stops are primarily known for one specific drug, Bogota Columbia: Cocaine, Jamaica/Acapulco: Marijuana, Lebanon and its "fragrance of Afghanistan" likely refers to opium (Afghanistan has a looong history of growing the stuff, as any Afghan War Vet like myself can attest), Kathmandu Nepal: Hashish which used to be freely smoked there, making it a Mecca for hippies in the ,60's until US interference in the 70's forced Nepal to end the free drugs trade. Though it is still legal one day a year on a holiday for Shiva.

Jan & Dean – Surf City Lyrics 11 years ago
Lets think about this carefully. it's a song who's central theme is heading to a place with a lot of babes to pull. In that context, how specifically can a "woodie" with no back seat "get me where I wanna go"? That's right, it's my contention that this squeeky clean sounding oldie (but goody) IS ALL ABOUT FU#&ING!!!
