I don't think the song has so much to do with god, but rather with nature, which could be seen as the greatest gift of god. "As you poison the river of life, erasing the greatest gift of God" This line for example describes how nature gets destroyed through the people in modern times, maybe through excessive consumerism, praised by the "False prophets that rule our lifes" which could maybe represent media and tv corporations, or jut television in general. Then the next line could mean that you don't need all these material goods that they want you to buy and that the key to happiness lies in yourself or something like that. I have no idead what lines 2 - 4 mean, though and the rest is only my own interpretation |
