| @[bunchaviolets:298] Hi just read your comments about religion etc. It saddens me that there is so much bad stuff being said about what I deem as holy and pure. As a true Christian we are never permitted to judge, to always forgive and to love others as we would love ourselves, but above all to love the Lord our God with our all, Sex is not deemed as dirty, but something very sacred and beautiful. The church does not preach poison, Satan does and he is responsible for the hate of this world, but he deceives many into believing it is the fault of the church etc. He distracts, deceives and thrives on people who do not really understand and know the power of the Bible. The Bible very clearly states that we are not condemned, I really love my faith, "Deep calls unto deep" a Biblical verse. one of many that could give you more than "you could ever ask for or imagine - Ephesians 3:20... | |

When I first heard this song I had mixed feelings about it & felt uncertain so I watched the video, listened to Hozier's comments and then looked at the lyrics. The words of the song sadden me immensely. I have been a Christian for many years, been to a huge amount of different churches, heard all sorts of preachers etc and I have never heard anyone speak of the gay community with the hate that is described in this song. I worship my almighty Father in heaven who loves unconditionally. He would never want me or anyone to worship like a dog in any form / interpretation. His alter is heavenly & pure and not a shrine of lies. If anything the devil has a shrine of lies. When I confess my sins I am instantly forgiven - the Gospel truth. Why would God sharpen a knife? Be this literal or a matter of interpretation why does the world think like this? Amen means "Praise the Lord" & I find it hard to put these words into a song that hurts me. I so wish that people would see the real church and not just what the media shows us. I so wish that people would grab at verses of the Bible that have inspired me, words of power and beauty, grace, love and forgiveness. Instead other verses are used & misinterpreted. God loves us more than we could ever imagine & I feel that He actually weeps when He sees hate in any form. |
