For me this song is about loving someone who doesn't love as much as you. You aren't able to read the signs the love is not corresponded. You think it's your fault if your lover doesn't really love you, and try to understand where you went wrong,with no success due to your confused state of mind. You wish your lover could understand how much you love him/her, if only he/she could imagine what you feel (standing in my shoes), but it's obvious there is no choice between loving or not loving. It's impossible not to love. You plead to be forgiven for your faults (as seen by your tangled mind), you scream when alone 'cause you're desperate, you would crawl and would do anything to be loved. It's a crime to love that much someone who doesn't understand you, you're your own victim. Maybe someone will think this is a stupid interpretation, but as one suggested before me, songs are not to be interpreted in only one way, if so the singers would explain the real meaning, wouldn't they? |
