Benjamin burley is a statist everyone just wanna start with that. Now the dark begins to rise save your breath it's far from over leave the lost and dead behind nows your chance run for cover. This is saying that darkness is rising, the battle rages on do not care about others or the dead just worry about your self and run away. I don't wanna change the world I just wanna leave it colder light the fuse and burn it up take the path that leads to nowhere. He is saying here that he wants to leave the world colder, a worse place. Then he is saying to burn up the world. Watch the end through dying eyes show me where forever ends take the fall and run to heaven. It's saying watch the end of our world through our eyes as we die. Take the fall and run to heaven means that we have lost, to go run away to our savior while the devil takes over our world |

| Actually this is a very static song. Many breaking benjamin songs have satanic meaning. In the bible stars are angels that have just fallen from heaven and a dead star is a demon. Shephard of the damned is another name for satan. The song is basically asking Satan to show him what he wants him to do, and bring eternal darkness upon the world | |
