| All That Remains – And Death in My Arms Lyrics | 10 years ago |

It kind of sounds like making violent love "hands tight around her throat this violent loving embrace" He's chocking her as they are making love "lying restful safe in my arms steady rhythm trust she'll come to no harm" Even though the sex is violent, she trusts him to not really harm her Steady rhythm also connotates of the rhythm of sex |

| The Knife – Listen Now Lyrics | 11 years ago |

The first paragraph is from the context of the woman "When you told me I was special It was the happiest moment for a long, long time", she has low self esteem and she takes what a man said to her very seriously. The second paragraph is from the context of the man. In contrast to the girl hearing she is special, the happy moment for the man was having the girl lay down on the floor (I guess having the girl agree to sex), in the kitchen which is also pretty degrading and stereotypical of where a woman should be. The rest of the song speaks about how the girl is different now, sticks her head high and doesnt need to hear she is special from guys. The price has never been this low meaning she was at such low point, finding a reason for living should not be hard |
