| My interpenetration if this song is of a man who is about to be executed via the electric chair, this is made evident to me through the lines "They'll wheel you in and pull the lever" and "Now, I, I'm going to fry". The man want's to forget about what is about to happen and have a last moment of happiness before he dies, and this happiness he has called the "Wings of Summer". He want's to achieve this happiness, but he opens his eyes before he dies and looks into the eyes of the woman he loves, and she is sad, and this makes him remember that he is about to die, and he can not achieve his last moment of happiness. I think that the reason that he is being executed is that he made a small mistake and this mistake had dire consequences. "Cause I ran over the guy with a Hummer", this line led me to believe that he did something bad, such as "ran over the guy with the hummer", a very big car, and this mistake led to big consequences, because the guy with the hummer has a bigger car and can deal more damage to him, and maybe this is why he is in the electric chair.
