I've ALWAYS wanted to ask Adam Young what this song was really about, but I'm hope I'm right in thinking that this song is about God's (supposed) love for us. He's always on the chase for us, but when he does gut us, He'll let us go, or make our own decisions if we want to love him back. And also when the song says that he knows we'll never turn ourselves in is another possibility in the song being a religious point of view. But then again, I could be totally wrong, so PLEASE don't take my word for it. |
