The word meddler means someone that is uninvited who takes on issues that don't belong to them. This moment will too pass us by It's this notion inside all of us to prioritize through our selfish eyes To be the bull behind the rampage The reason for all the riot ^This to me means that life is passing by quickly and that we use that as an excuse to be selfish and do things that we realize we probably shouldn't. We'll feed our flame before wasting time on everyone else's With more problems and less pride We'll feed our flame before wasting time on everyone else's The gallows were not supposed to look like this ^In this, the flame represents our desires in life, we will take care of what we want before wasting time on other's desires even though they may be more important than our own. The gallows represent mortal earth, it's become only a dark place to die, but instead of being a place where we enrich the lives of others it's an ugly place that focuses on our desires that we need before we die. Oh God, We live in misery, lying here in desperation We need you here more than anything right now If everything's relative, then why the emptiness in our souls? ^This is a prayer to get God back into our lives and help us to change so that we can see that we are all human and are experiencing much the same journey (life is relative for people), our souls are empty because we don't help others and he wants God to help change that. Trying to untie the knot we thought we were untying our entire lives We're busied up and burnt out This is saying that we think one little positive change in our lives (technological advancement) is thought to make an entirely positive change in our lives, but it really only solves one aspect of them. Our lives are busy and exhausting, we don't want to change because we are stuck on moving fast through life. Everyone together, we will strengthen ourselves We will Because now we know you wont ever fly fast enough to make time stand still Stop, listen, and learn You won't ever fly fast enough to make time stand still ^This one is pretty self explanatory, but it basically states that we now realize that we need to come together fix our mistakes because we know that it is the only way and no amount of increase in speed (technological advancements) in life will allow us to truly appreciate life the way it was supposed to be appreciated. |

A song about drinking. I love this song, much so that I will break it down piece by piece to the best of my understanding and interpretation because it deserves it. Lethe is a part of the Nile and is said to have magical properties of forgetting one's problems. "Give me the drink of the fluid That disintegrates And lend me the sweet balm and blessing Of forgetfulness, empty and strong Lethe Oh, lethe" Give me alcohol the drink that makes problems disappear and makes me feel strong. "Hold me near, unravel the stars As I speed through the heavens Speed through the night For you are my blade and my rope You are my lethe You are my all" Basically, talking about how you feel a bit like a know it all when you are intoxicated and how everything spins and moves fast. You are the strength(blade) that makes me feel alive like a man and the (rope) that causes me to have problems, but that's alright you're my all. "In currents of cobalt You storm through my heart To sever, to puncture The memories that burn Let sweep through the arteries In sharp stabs of pain Your talon-like fingers to kill me again" From my understanding cobalt is an essential ultra trace nutrient that enables metabolism more specifically of alcohol oxygen atoms in this instance. This part is all about the internal workings of alcohol on the body and how it gets rid of the negatives in life. (fun fact: Alcohol contains 7 kilocalories/gram that's more than carbs and protein at 4 kilocalories/gram) man Dark tranquillity is nerdy in a good way. "Steal me, invade me and charge me again For I burn and I shudder Burn with each movement of" This one is very self explanatory "So, cleansed through a floodlight I appear, renewed and reforged Caressed by the sweet balm and blessing Of forgetfulness, empty and strong Lethe" Feeling great and refreshed from my alcohol. "Hold me near, my one friend and guide As I drown through your fingers Drown through your love For you are the life I hate You are my" This one is also very self explanatory. "Drag me down, in passionate sighs With the ocean above me And flames in my eyes And grant me a life I can live Without Take me away From the life that I hate" This is referring to drowning in the fluid and how it burns your eyes and opens them so you feel like you can live through anything and be alright with it. You can get away from your situation. I am a fan of how eloquently written, yet how simple this song is. |

| To me this song means that the deception of the mind through natural emotions passed through our natural ancestors can create a situation in which you believe you saw or felt something that truly doesn't exist while your mind tells lies and justifications. Those deceptions could be ghosts, angels, god, monsters, whatever the mind can conjure. The main idea is that you should learn to give up on something that isn't actually there and overcome what the mind is telling you even if it is painful. | |
