| I believe there is a lot of pain in the loss of love, and perhaps this is exactly what both "Horrorshow" and "I Saw A Light" are about. But I think the important thing is that we all learn to know what it is that we have while we still have it, so that we may treat our selves better, and so that we may treat our loved ones better as well, and so that during a time of loss we may not feel regretful at all. In tragedies of misguided or unattainable love, I believe that those lovers taken from each other or kept apart from each other are always meant to teach us lessons about what love is and is not, and what love should be and should be not. | |

| I believe those of you who think this is a family issue are 100% correct. I just realized I never even interpreted this song at all, I just listened to it. But I agree, there is some sort of family issue here. I believe it is always a great idea to deal with our own personal issues inside of our selves first so that we may build strong family attachments. I hope that every person who reads these lyrics finds overtherainbow's interpretation inspiring. | |

I was EnjoyTheMelon several years ago, but I cannot edit the lyrics and the comments I wrote. I did vote my self down though! Jae26: I believe you are correct. I think that what happened was that when I listened to that song for the first time I had pain inside me, and so I chose to hear "hurt your heart" because that is what I could relate to. I think that is one of the wonderful things about music, that you can listen to any song you like and you may relate to it in any manner that comforts you. And then after you have been comforted, those same songs at a later date may be interpreted very differently and better understood. I think "heard your howl" makes sense and fits, whereas "hurt your heart" does not make any sense, and so if I could edit the initial post I would. ambriel: Yes, those people responsible for this song have already given all of us including my self enough gifts, and so they do not need to include any lyrics if they do not wish to. And no, I only sent a general email to their website, I do not have any of the artists' personal information nor would I ever wish for that. It was also extremely rude of me to post the comments that I did, but as I said, I cannot delete them. I would request they be deleted, but I am not sure how I would do that. But you are correct in that sending a personal demand - not request - for lyrics is "creepy" as you say, and it is also very mean and thankless. I apologize for that to any one who read it including you. Also, I wish that the others who see that comment from "EnjoyTheMelon" would vote it down as I have done, because that was my comment, and I have the right to request that. |
