I love the sound on this one. Seems to be the speaker talking to another who is going through a particularly rough time and demolishing his life through drinking and breaking things. So the speaker is basically telling him that he needs to forget the past, chill out and have some fun in his life. |

This song has made me tear up many times. Absolutely beautiful sound and the outro is one of their very best. I love everything about this song. Quite obvious that it's about suicide which rings very close to home. |

New Plastic Ideas was what got me into Unwound and this is the first song of theirs that I loved. I figure it's about writing multiple letters to a girl who no longer wants anything to do with you and doing so just makes her all the more colder towards you. Sometimes silence will give her time to reflect on things she misses about you in her life, but attempting to constantly contact her will remind her of the things she doesn't (She won't miss you if you keep trying to force her to miss you). But the speaker keeps trying to reach out, hoping one day she'll read one and realize she wants him back instead of moving on with his life. |
