A few things i learned in college about our species; here's my disertation: "The Earth is alive. And man is a parasite. And heavenly bodies make us fight." A. The earth is full of minerals, natural resources etc... & we, man, are sucking it dry..killing it.. we are a society of consumption. Users. B. heavenly bodies make us fight: we generally fight for 2 things 1. land 2. religious freedom. Hence most all wars have been over power so we can have/control land & religion. So maybe perhaps the song is about speaking out against the senseless irresponsible waste/consumption of those resources & disagreeing over the religious wars to gain power and criticizes humanity.. then immediately he says - oh no I'm just kidding - "I'm only joking, don't believe a word I've said" Basically - I'm just messing w u. I'm crazy. Im smoking im high. I didn't say anything...I'm just messing around.. to avoid argument, confrontation or worse treason. Just my take. |
