| I love the allusion to Kurt Cobain. The "praying that you dont burn out or fade away" is a reference to his suicide note. He says that it is better to burn out than to fade away. Obviously they are hoping that the girl does neither. Raine married Chantal Kreviazuk in 1999 and the song is obviously about her and her rise to fame in Canada. He waits to hear from her but she is out there rising to stardom | |
