These are the wrong lyrics, here are the right lyrics: (Rain) Listen listen Listen listen Listen listen Listen listen Listen (listen) listen (listen) Listen (listen) listen (listen) Listen (listen) listen (listen) Listen listen Listen to each drop of rain (listen listen) Aaah Whispering secrets in vain (listen listen) Aaah Frantically searching for someone to hear Their story before they hit ground Please don't let go Can't we stay for a while? It's just to hard to say goodbye Listen to the rain Aa...ah Listen listen listen listen listen listen to the rain Weeping Oo...ooh oooh ooh oo...ooh Oo...ooh oooh oh oh Listen (listen) listen (listen) Listen (listen) listen I stand alone in the storm (listen listen) Suddenly sweet words take hold (Listen listen) Hurry they say for you haven't much time Open your eyes to the love around you You may feel you're alone But I'm here still with you You can do what you dream Just remember to listen to the rain oo...ooh oh oh oh oh ooh ooh oh oh oooh Listen |

| Lana Del Rey – Carmen Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
Ever heard the expression, never judge a book by its cover? Well in the case of Carmen this is very true. If you look at the verses you see an perfect portrait being painted of a very popular girl that everyone likes who parties hard and has fun. but then in the first bridge Carmen herself begins to speak: "you don't want to be like me, don't want to see all the things I've seen" I'm dyin', I'm dyin' You don't want to get this way, famous and dumb at an early age" Lyin', I'm lyin'" Now to me this can be summed up as being the price of popularity, doing things that you wouldn't have normality done, but to get everyone to like you, you do it anyway. Then in the second verse the things she does start to escalate, suddenly she starts "street walking" which to me sounds like she is selling herself, maybe not for money but for ever increasing popularity among the boys and girls. When Carmen starts to speak again in the second bridge we see how the downward spiral just continues, where as in the beginning of the song "her liquor's top shelf" now she's "getting high for free". This show how she does ever increasingly risky things to retain the popularity she has gained. In the next part of the song she is so deep in this downward spiral of pleasing people that she doesn't really know what else to do so she ties cherry knots and does party favours to get by, as to what exactly these "party favours"are your guess is as good ass mine. In conclusion what this song means to me is don't judge the happiness of anyone by their popularity, as looks can be very deceiving. |

| Foo Fighters – Skin and Bones Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
why do all of you think its about a eating disorder? You guys are looking at this song way to literally. This song looks to me like it goes hand in hand with one of the Foo Fighters other songs "My Hero", where as in My Hero Dave is trying to say that his hero's were just ordinary people I think in "Skin and Bone" he is trying to say that he is just an ordinary person, in other words he is just skin and bone just like everyone else, he says this right after the first chorus "I'm just skin and bones". "Lately I've been measuring, Seems my time is growing thin". Right there in the opening lyrics of the song he comes to a realization, he says he's been measuring and no not his waist, the second line he says that he's time is running out. |

| Serj Tankian – Elect The Dead Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
I agree with MikeDecipheron's comment in that if you look at the majority of Serj's work it caries more or less the same meaning as MikeDecipheron said in his comment " *Justice* and *Love* is *Good* for all of Mankind.". It appears that Serj is, like many of us are, annoyed with humanity as a whole on its path of self-destruction and the destruction of everything it touches. |

| Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – Done All Wrong Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| I do agree bad things happen to the best people and that really shows in this song. | |
| Evanescence – Everybody's Fool Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| This song is about fake people and the huge drive from society and the media to idolize these fake people, trying to sway everyone to fall into the "cool" groups and alienating anyone who makes up their own minds as to what and who they want to be. | |
| A Perfect Circle – The Noose Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
For me this song is about depression, as a sufferer of depression myself I can relate with how the person in this song is metaphorically slowly slipping deeper and deeper into this depression and ultimately suicide as the noose is slipping down "With your halo slipping down Your halo slipping Your halo slipping down Your halo slipping down". With this kind of suicidal depression comes the thought of what everyone else will do, will they cope and most of all will they ever forgive you "But I'm more then just a little curious How you're planning to go about making your amends To the dead To the dead". Lastly when your in such a depressed state you lose touch with reality and everything just seems to just pass by and reply over and over in your head which on its own takes its thole on you "Recall the deeds as if they're all Someone else's atrocious stories". |

| Nancy Sinatra – Summer Wine Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| I think this song is about a seductive femme fatale pulling a poor expecting man into her devious web of pleasure and seduction, her "Strawberries cherries and angel's kiss in spring", with the goal of stealing that which is most valuable to him, his "silver spurs". | |
