I think this song is about leaving the comfort zone, doing things you would have never done and make more out of your life. "House on fire, leave it all behind you" -> I think it just says you have to leave the past (your old life) behind you and look forward. "Living life, feeding appetites Stayed through every hard stop, every go Being bland Breathing half the time" -> It says that you're living a bland life, you're breathing half the time (not giving 100%).. it also says that there is more you can do. "Broke tooth Monday Something's not the same Blank head, crossed eyes sweep the floor Feel your presence In your absence shut the door" -> Maybe this is about after you made the first step.. after that some things change, you see the world with different eyes.. just a guess. |
