Urge Overkill – Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon Lyrics 10 years ago
Pretty straightforward.

Older man falls for a girl who is either under 18 - not a woman yet, still seen as a girl.

The man is torn up because he's found this girl who finally UNDERSTANDS him and love him, "I've been misunderstood for all of my life" ; "Well I've finally found what I'm looking for."

The age difference isn't a problem for him, but her friends and family don't like it - "But if they get their chance they'll end it for sure."

Because everyone the girl knows is against their relationship, she is hesitant - she doesn't know whether or not they should continue being a couple, and the man is pleading with her to stay with him.

By the sound of "Soon, you'll need a man" we can assume that the girl NEEDS someone to look out for her, which suggests that her friends aren't great or that she has a bad home life. He's saying that he can be all she needs in life.

Chris Garneau – Over and Over Lyrics 11 years ago
"It's not your fault / You said so." - The singer has fallen out of love with his partner. His partner is saddened, because he still loves the singer, who feels guilty. But his partner tells him that it's not his fault and that he should not blame himself.

"Now I'm in this thing / This fucking thing / It's happening over and over" - Now the singer is stuck in this awkward yet unhappy situation that he does not feel comfortable in. It's not the first time he has fallen out of love with someone, and he still can't help but feel guilty that it is always him who ends the relationship.

"And you give me things / That make me sad" His partner reminds him of the past, when they were both in love, and this only causes the singer to feel even more guilty.

"And I can feel the days / But I'd like to say / Remember the days when we used to? / But I don't feel them over and over" - the singer is trying to remember how he felt, is trying to fall back in love. But he can't. He wishes he could go back to that happy time, but he is just unable to.

"We're rockers anyway" - the singer believes that, like a rocking chair that is tipping backwards, he will come upright again, in time. It is not the end of the world, even though it feels like it.

"Just skin and bones" - the singer is only human; it is not his fault that the relationship did not last.

"Good hair, good clothes / And that's how it goes." - both the singer and his old partner will try to keep appearances up. They will pretend they are okay, in order to help them get back on their feet.

"We've got sweet little toes" - the singer remembers a time when they were younger, when they were innocent, when life was uncomplicated and nothing really mattered.

This is when the child singers (= innocence) come in.
"It's all... up to me now / There's a whole lot of work... to do now / And it's all... up to me now / Leave me be... I am through" - the singer recognises that it will take time to recover for both of them. He is not used to being single, and must learn how to live by himself again. He is tired of the complications, and just wants peace.
