Brenda = Margaret Thatcher and the iron sledge is Armoured Punt HMS Incredible from Steve Bell's 'If' cartoons around the time of the Falkland war.

'Back in the day' I just liked the noise they made but I have come to realise that our Poly was quite the poet. The line in this one which really resonates with me is "Did you do it before you read about it?" - we are all poseurs, cliché's etc incapable of an original thought or action.
