The mysterious "Wail-a-ree" : Perhaps it is a pronounciation for "weilawei", old english from scandinavian, middle english "welleway", sorrow, lamentation (see Merriam Webster). It's make much sense than "wail-a-ree" I think... even if it is strange to use an archaic word no one can undestrand ... exept for the prefix "wail". So it can sound like something ancient for a lamentation and a lost. |
