Here is what I think it means :) And meet me there, bundles of flowers, We wait through the hours of cold Winter shall howl at the walls, Tearing down doors of time. -Singer is fantasiing about it, it did not happen yet. I think it represents long time passed since they last saw eachother, bundles of flowers=happiness, winter tore down the doors of time=finally winter(time passed) came to end(they meet again). Shelter as we go... And promise me this: You’ll wait for me only, Scared of the lonely arms. -He asks his lover to wait for him ONLY, he is scared that she will fall into someone other's arms because she is lonely. Surface, far below these words And maybe, just maybe I’ll come home - He will come back if he feels like her words have a meaning. That she truly will wait for him, that the words wont just fall into oblivion. Who am I, darling to you? Who am I? Gonna tell you stories of mine Who am I? Who am I, darling for you? Who am I? Gonna be a burden in time, lonely Who am I, to you? -He is asking her a clear question. Does he mean anything to her. Will he become burden in time( time when they meet again). Who am I, darling for you? Who am I? Going to be a burden Who am I, darling to you? Who am I? I come alone here I come alone here -I came alone here, not sure about this one. Maybe at the end she doesnt wait for him after all |

Yes, I believe King Lear's theory is true and that mine is just an interpretation. I'll just describe the way I see it. Main theme is similar as shakespeares haha ^^. It's about apathetic man and his emotional lover.(Refering as she but maybe it's he, idk :p). Rip the earth in two with your mind >He is saying how she is not superficial, and could think beyond material I never meant you any harm >He hurted her because he doesn't understand emotions very well But your tears feel warm as they fall on my forearms >He is avare that he has done something bad, or didn't do anything How can you say that your truth is better than ours? >Probably about her not understanding him, his apathy If only I had an enemy bigger than my apathy I could have won >It would all be good if he wasn't apathetic But I gave you all I gave you all I gave you all >He gave her all material things And you rip it from my hands And you swear it's all gone And you rip out all I had Just to say that you've won >She still wants more, not material things |
