So I've compiled everyone's comments to make a conclusion that he's alone in the city, and no one cares about him in his city. What's interesting is that cities are an often "go to place" to escape and drift away. Also the beginning sentence and ending sentence are important. As one said in the comments that the knife represents loneliness, and beginning statement suggest he is afraid of the way he lives his life. *So he's afraid of being alone* |

I usually have my own perspective on songs (poems) and it's how each individual has a connection and how they interrupted it, so you may not agree and that's okay. Anyway I think it's how he isolates his feelings and no one bothers to ask him how he feels, to the point where he doesn't even know he feels anymore. Usually andrew Jackson jihad songs are interesting like this one. Each of them have a connection with one another. |

To be honest, I dont think there in love but he's in love with her. "When you can't get what you want, but you can get me" saying she doesn't want him, but he's available. He's also saying you can't always he what he wants (very obvious). But saying they also spend time together. "You`re my medicine when your close to me" saying he can't live with out her, pretty much. "Does anybody know if were looking out on a day of another dream" so I think this implies that he dreams/wishes of being with her In all honesty I take it as he's friend zoned. And thinking of a Place much better, but that place is to fake to happen. But thats just how I feel about it. |
