@[Daoist:5086] Your analysis made me cry. Wow. I love that you say we are all, in our own way, dangerous, bringing terrible consequences; as if, we all walk around with a warning on our faces, "do not spray into eyes." Capa doesn't care, and love doesn't care--"I have sprayed you into my eyes."
Beautiful analysis. |

Love this interpretation. I see this also, very much.
It is best expressed with those lines, it's not a fever, it's a freezer: so beautiful |

Seems like the speaker is referencing everything in life that is beautiful and ephemeral. These beautiful things are heaven forever escaping us because we are mortal. I just absolutely love the end of the song; it is simultaneously a praise for life and a stab at heaven: it is so beautiful and so sad.
It seems to be very focused on a relationship the speaker is experiencing, also. I feel that he is overly invested in a relationship with a lover that is broken and unable to invest. Her grief spills over him; he can walk out, but he won't, and he is ultimately transformed by the relationship: it breaks him similarly. I like how he says that he tries to face this beauty all heaven faced, but it is impossible. It overtakes him and breaks him.
I believe the speaker is in no way sorry for this relationship, though; rather, he is full on embracing it, and telling us--the audience--to do the same. It's heaven, and-- we'll only have it when we are alive. |
