| Nirvana – Aerozeppelin Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| It's more of an album for those Nirvana fans with acquired tastes, compared to your average die hard Nevermind-thumping Nirvana fans that don't really like the more Grunge/metal sound of Kurt's early recordings. I can say that first hand because when I first listened to Nirvana I loved Smells Like Teen Spirit but I shied away from songs like Been a Son and Stain, and so on. But now I can say Incesticide is probably my favorite Nirvana album. | |

There are multiple possible interpretations of this song that Kurt uses in many of his other works, the more obvious two being feminism and Kurt's loathing of discriminative organized religions. In the "Sappy" memorial music video made by Dave Grohl and Kirst Novoselic, the opening scene shows a religious-like sequence while Kurt sings the words "And if you save yourself" which is why Kurt most likely wrote this song as a mockery of people's expectations of god himself. He is mocking people who feel love and acceptance through god. When the first two lyrics of the second stanza change to "And if you cut yourself, you will THINK you're happy" it could refer to people finding their release in a way radically different from the aforementioned lyric, but yet it is still all the same and no one is truly happy no matter how they choose to "save" themselves. |
