Nacha Pop – Lucha De Gigantes Lyrics 9 years ago
I think this sing can have two meaning. Either it's a song about the fear of being in love or the fear about facing one's real self (or feelings). It can also be a mix of both.

Lucha de gigantes
Convierte
El aire en gas natural
Un duelo salvaje
Advierte
Lo cerca que ando de entrar
En un mundo descomunal
Siento mi fragilidad

*Lucha de gigantes* is in reference to the person fighting with himself/herself.
The lyrics in the song sound like a "fight" between two voices which are actually one.
This is probably a fight between the false and the real self or the possibility of being in love verses not wanting to fall into it. "el aire en gas natural" the air pretty much turns into poison as this gives an state of anxiety. "Un duelo salvaje" stands for the resistance and the fight the person is having against himself in regards to loving another person or finally facing their own truth. It is such a huge world that the person can suddenly sense his or her own fragility.

Vaya pesadilla
Corriendo
Con una bestia detras
Dime que es mentira todo
Un sueno tonto y no mas
Me da miedo la enormidad
Donde nadie oye mi voz

*It all seems like a nightmare. The person in the song wants his or her love interest to tell them their feelings are right and that there is nothing to worry about (either that or the person is speaking to himself into not wanting to fall in love). This person is scared of the point in which things will be so big that he will get lost in the relationship or that he will finally be able to find his real self and feelings and face them.

The nightmare could also be the person is finally realizing how fake they have been acting and actually not wanting to face it (a lie, a foolish dream and nothing else).

The interesting part is that the speaker in the song is actually speaking to himself, as there is nobody else around ("nadir oye mi voz" there is nobody actually listening, so when "nobody" listens that means the person is finally facing his own reality and or feelings. He or she is the "nobody", since the feelings or personal truth have been repressed for too long.)

Deja de enganar
No quieras ocultar
Que has pasado sin tropezar
Monstruo de papel
No se contra quien voy
O es que acaso hay alguien mas aqui?

*Stop fooling either himself or others, no longer wants to hide the fact that he has "pasado" walked off (maybe walked away from someone, or walked away from his real self, or both). Cold also mean the speaker in the song has had someone walked away from him.

The monster is made of paper, which is a fragile thing. If the person in the songs feels his own fragility that means the paper monster is the fear of being vulnerable or true to one's own self. The person in the song is not sure whatever it is a love deception or is a problem in their own fear and fragility ("no se contra quien voy"). After all, there is nobody else listening (o esque acaso hay alguien mas aqui? Ironic). This person could also be suffering from a love that isn't even around, its all an internal battle.

Creo en los fantasmas terribles
De algun extrano lugar
Y en mis tonterias
Para hacer tu risa estallar

* I believe in ghosts as in some fear from the past or traumatic experience, the person in this songs even believes in his own foolishness so much it would make his real self (or love interest) laugh. It could also mean the speaker in the song actually thinks he could make their love interest happy.

A ghost could also be seen as someone who the speaker in the song used to be, a terrible ghost, from a strange place. Either someone he used to be or someone who he truly is but he sees as "terrible".

En un mundo descomunal
Siento tu fragilidad

*In such a huge/stange/scaring world the speaker in the song can even feel the emotions of other people/his love interest (even if those emotions are only the reflection of how he/she internally feels. We tend to see in others what is inside of us).

It could also mean the speaker in the song has been through so much pain he now has a divided identity and makes a difference between the emotions he represses and those he wants to pretend are real (first he feels the fragility of his real self and THEN the fragility of the image he has wanted to portray and which just seems easy to break at this point).

Deja de enganar
No quieras ocultar
Que has pasado sin tropezar
Monstruo de papel
No se contra quien voy
O es que acaso hay alguien mas aqui?

*See above

Deja que pasemos sin miedo

* This could mean the ghosts in this person's existence. This person is clearly alone, but in the company of his own fears of the past or their real self/feelings. This person is aware there is not really anyone physically there with him her, so if its a love interest it could imply the need to let them go (together with their fears) so that the person in the song can finally heal. To heal the person must let go of those fears, the love interest and the false self (the song would be the real self, speaking to the person and telling her the truth and in order to make things right. Let go).

A final meaning is related to the lyrics from the chorus "deja de engañar, no quieras ocultar, que has pasado sin tropezar" this means the speaker in the song needs to stop pretending and fooling himself and finally admit he has walked away from his own heart/mind/real self. "Deja que pasemos sin miedo" would mean let yourself come across as you really are/as you really feel. The person is so into his or her head/fantasies that it feels like he isn't really actually there, present in the moment. To let go of those fears and self fabricated image would mean a new beginning, without fear.

Sorry if this is all confusing :) Hope this helped anyone!
