I think Sister is about a person who is going down a dark path making all the wrong decisions. This person doesn't see there destructive behavior or doesn't care or thinks they have no way out. " So tell me what happens when the waves break and your surrounded he tries to kill you and you allow it. I think this line means he is asking what happens when all these bad choices you have made come back to bite you and you have to deal with them. The part "He tries to kill you and you allow it. I'm not sure but I think he may mean the devil or hate into this persons heart. Letting it eat away at them but they allow this they don't change there behavior or try to fix it. "I surround you I surround I never leave my beloved I've found you" I do believe this song is about gods love and no matter what he will forgive us and he is always with us. So this line I thinks is saying god is surrounding this person he never leaves one of his children. When he says I've found you I don't think it actually means that god has found this person but that person has found him. I could be completely wrong these are just somr of my thoughts. I love this song. |
