I felt the same as the first commentator, and I think that is why I was so drawn to the song. But then I heard the lovers voice in the bridge, as if she was egging him on, calling him a fraud in a loving and teasing voice. "It's the thought that counts" he says, and I can hear a smile in his voice. So then I thought the same as the second commentator. I like the song because it is cryptic that way. |
