its about a guy who once blieved in god but after numerous bad circumstances in his life he does not believe in god anymore. "tell me this isnt real" at first he did not want to believe god did not exist but "i always saw it coming" he knew deep down it was true. Finally, the greatest AFI line "I raised my eyes into the light in hopes of finding healing, no relief was mine I was burnt by the sun" describes how the person in this song looked up to god when they bad but got nothing. this is the best afi song. |

This is a great song. It is about a drug user. Originally the user used to think bad things about drugs and say they were bad. However, once he starts taking drugs he forgets all of his friends, hope, and aspirations and only wants drugs. I love the line "Embrace a dream that was a nightmare only yesterday" does a great job getting the point across. AFI fuckin owns! best punk band out there! |
