| Morrissey – Now My Heart Is Full Lyrics | 11 years ago |

I think it's clearly a song about the protagonist preparing to kill himself. A lot has been made of the lyrical connection to Brighton Rock, apparently one of Moz's favorite films, but I think it's overblown. I think when Morrissey says those are his friends, he means in the sense that someone who is lonely may come to identify with his favorite fictional characters as friends. After all, Patric Doonan, who was not in the film version of Brighton Rock, is also a suicide. At any rate, one of the best songs on a great album. |
