In typical Groovie Ghoulie fashion, this is a song about aliens. More specifically, this song is about alien abductions. "Midnight flights" is being abducted. The insomnia, sweaty sheets and migraines are common things people associate with alien abductions. "The greys" refers directly to the type of aliens who are said to abduct people. They have small bodies, big heads and grey skin and are just referred to as "the greys." For the longest time I thought this song was about drug use, then I met a guy who fully believes in alien abductions. He would talk about "the greys" and I finally made the connection. |
