| You know, I was looking over these today and realized that it sounds like it could describe Charlie's relationship with Alex Day, when Charlie knew that Alex was cheating on his girlfriends. If this is the case, then the only piece that doesn't make sense to me is the chorus, unless "Melody" (name likely changed) refers to either the girl who was being cheated on or the one who was (unknowingly?) cheating with him. Or I could be wrong and it could refer to Alex, or I could be TOTALLY wrong and it's about a different friend. But I have to say, this makes a lot more sense to me now that all that came out about Alex. | |
