Plausible explanation, but NOT true!! It's about Julian Lennon's difficulty in dealing with his mom and dad's divorce. John divorced Cynthia, and Paul wrote it to cheer the kid up.

It's possibly a plausible explanation for some, BUT it's not true. Even Paul discussed the song on TV at one time. I believe he also discussed it on The Beatles Anthology back in 1996. He wrote the song in honor of Julian Lennon, who was going through some emotions because of John and his mother Cyntha's divorce. It used to be called "Hey Jules" because that's was a nickname he gave Julian. He changed it to "Hey Jude". One of the first songs by the Beatles i had EVER heard growing up, and still relevant to this day!!

| Metal Church – The Dark Lyrics

It's obvious. It's about having a fear of the dark. Many people in the world have a big time fear of the dark. You are laying in bed one night, and something awakens you. You think you hear strange noises. Maybe the house is haunted? Maybe someone has broken in? You just don't know. You are paralyzed in fear. |

| Metal Church – Anthem to the Estranged Lyrics

A song about having it all, and losing it. Perhaps because of chemical dependency, someone had a great career, nice house, big family, etc. and lost it all. Now he's homeless, and "wandering aimlessly through the streets", trying to find some food and water to get him through the day. It's a very sad song, and one of the best Metal Church songs ever! |

| Metal Church – Watch The Children Pray Lyrics

This is a very political commentary of a song. It's a great song. I believe when this album came out, in the late 80's, the cold war was still going strong. This song is about the THEN nuclear threat. The children would pray that we would avoid the ultimate doom of mankind. |
