I think the song has the meaning of god putting us in earth, as the first verse is a metaphor. "We will go outside" We leave heaven for earth "When the lights go on inside" Heaven is pure and good so we can not just go back because we are imperfect. "We will all be fine if we read what they will write for us" we all be fine if we read what they give us, the bible, and what they will give us through revelation. the second verse i am a bit confused, but here is a try. I think it is in the point if view of the holy spirit. "I had lost my head causes in the night you thought i left, since the day i found you dead" The holy spirit was confused when Jesus was taking the sins of man while he was praying in the garden of Gethsemane and that it was hard for the prefect spirit to dwell in Jesus while he was taking sin. Thus Jesus became blind to the spirit, and he had not known he died. "In the morning is was bright, on your skin but it was light" The spirit found Jesus on the third day of his death, thus he found that Jesus rose was perfection (light). "As the snow fell down outside, i couldn't keep it from my eyes" perfection(Snow) fell on earth(Outside) and the spirit fell very emotional he could not see anything but the perfection. |
