Seriously, the video ought to make it clear. Are those girls immature? I don't know. Are they young? Yes. Way too young. I love Oingo Boingo. That doesn't mean I'm going to pretend their songs weren't about what they were about. Sometimes he sang songs in-character in such a way that it was clear how disgusted he felt with the character. His contempt for the pedophile ("ephebophile" if you're weirdly prone to defending creeps) is as clear as Nabokov's disgust for Humbert Humbert. Trying to pretend he sympathizes with your disgusting inclinations makes you a sycophant. |
