I think this song is about George Armstrong Custer's masochism and cruelty at the Battle of Little Bighorn. "It's strange, whenever I see a gun I think about just how petty you are And it blows my fucking mind Yeah, it blows my fucking mind These days, I never seem to get enough I'm tired of this shit, I want to go up Don't waste my fucking time Don't waste my fucking time" This bit seems to be about Custer's bravery and impulsiveness. For example, before the battle he was told to wait for backup, but he ignored that and attacked. "Because anything exceptional Gets crushed by governed people With jealousy and ignorance And all that coven equals This one, it isn't special Collections made of clay" I think that this part is about how Custer believed that the particular village he's attacking isn't special or significant and that the Indians will end up dead anyway, so he attacked. "I'm waiting for the punishment I know it’s on my way" The Sioux were known for mutilating and desecrating bodies. Custer knew that he was surrounded, and that the Indian warriors were going to slaughter him and his army and do that to his corpse. "Cut, cut, cut me up and Fuck, fuck, fuck me up" This could be a taunt towards the Indians "Irreverence is my disease It's secondhand, but you know me The son of a bitch is on his knees The last man standing gets no pity" This could be about how Custer showed no respect at all for the Indians. He also had a lack of respect for his commander. "The last man standing gets no pity" could be saying that the last man gets no pity from his now dead comrades or mercy from the Indian warriors. "Somewhere on a toilet wall I read the words you form along To form a life, they're for my mind Then I find myself a truth Something so profound and now it's sitting there Surrounded by the damage of the state Another victim of the refuse Now I've been saying this for years But you don't comprehend it I fight hell and I fight fear Because I understand it Androgeny and insults Your choice, don't wanna be difficult You wanna win the war? Know what you're fighting for" I have no idea what this section is about . . . nor does the guy from reddit who I sourced some of this from "With angel eyes and demon seeds You're missing what you really need." The 'angel eyes' are probably some reference to the Indians, but the 'demon seeds' might refer to Custer's view of the Indian people as demons and devils. "When all is said and done, you see The last man standing gets no pity" These bit seems to be about how the Americans will hunt down every last Indian down once the battle is over without pity.
