| I know i am a few years late for this convo, but .. there are 2 different scenarios for this. 1) it IS about the choice of a couple as stated above, and the song was poorly written... or 2) it is definitely about a pregnancy rape (wonderfully accurately written) and this topic is too hot for the band to come out and stand behind. Not the the band is broken up, we may never know. But for a starving band to come out and defend women's rights like this would be political suicide in most cases. Backed into a corner, hands tied, marked body, feeling gods betrayal and not returning to church, Finding Happiness, Strength, what will my family think?, and most importantly... when will i feel safe?... wether it was written to be a rape/abort song, it defiantly is painted in that color. Either way, i am probably making a video/animation to this track, going with the rape train of thought. Ill post a link when completed. | |
